Parking Permit Sale to Begin May 19thParking permit applications will be accepted by mail only beginning Monday, May 19, 2008 and in-person application will be accepted beginning on June 9, 2008. Permits are issued on a first-come, first-serve basis so residents are encouraged to submit their applications in a timely fashion, however, applications received prior to May 19 will be returned. The application and instructions are available here.
Please note that the Scarsdale Meter Permt has increased from $40 to $60. Additionally, effective June 1, all parking meter rates will be increased from to $0.75/hour for short term meters and $0.75/hour for each of the first four hours and $0.50/hour for each additional hour thereafter for long-term meters.

Regional Stormwater Management DistrictThe Village of Scarsdale is a one of twelve member municipalities belonging to the the Long Island Sound Watershed Intermunicipal Council (LISWIC). Among LISWIC's goals are a cleaner and safer Long Island Sound Watershed. In pursuit of this goal, The Village of Scarsdale, on behalf of LISWIC, received a grant in 2004 to study the potential benefits of a Regional Stormwater Management District. The engineering consulting firm of Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. was retained to perform the study and completed it in August of 2007 To view a copy of the report click here.

CON EDISON TREE MAINTENANCE PROGRAMPursuant to New York State Public Service Law and New York State Public Service Commission Rules, utilities companies, such as Con Edison, have the authority to clear trees, branches and other foliage or debris which may pose a threat to the distribution of electricity to its customers. In this regard, Con Edison recently announced a new tree maintenance program to trim and remove, if necessary, trees near distribution lines along the Village right-of-way to help ensure safe and reliable electric service delivery. read more ...
