Merchants Parking Lot on East Parkway

In spring of 2012, Westchester County will commence the construction and replacement project of the Westchester County’s Crane Road Bridges Project. The $40M project includes the replacement of two bridges located alongside the Bronx River Parkway in the vicinity of the Crane Road Bridge. The project will be staged in four parts and will take approximately four years to complete.

The County has also asked that the Village of Scarsdale to cooperate and allow the County to utilize half of the Village’s Merchant’s Parking lot for that period in order to stage the County’s equipment. As a result, the Village will only have half of the Merchant’s Parking lot available for sale and half of the Merchant’s permits available for sale.

The Merchant’s lot permit sales will be done through a lottery, as it has previously had been done, but effective for only next three months (January 1, 2011 to March 31, 2011). The cost of the three month permit will be $43.75. As such, Merchants are encouraged to fill out forms located in Village Hall, 1st floor or on the Village’s website under the Village Clerk’s tab and follow the instructions. Merchants are also eligible for Scarsdale Avenue Meter permits as well as Freightway Garage Non-Resident permits.
