The Planning Department provides staff support to the Zoning Board of Appeals and to the Planning Board. The Village Planner is also the Village Environmental Review Officer, and oversees Village implementation of the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA).

The staff of the Department is available to answer questions about procedures for filing an application to both Boards, and on pending applications. Applicants or neighbors wishing to learn of a decision made by either Board should call the Department at 722-1131 the morning following the Board's public hearing.
