Nature Adventures (Select Saturdays: March 22nd & April 26th)
Walk the trails, play a game, craft a project, investigate some clues and meet furry, feathery, scaly, slimy, and cuddly animals we call family.  Program is for everyone to enjoy from 11am-1pm.  Fee: $5/person for adults & children ages 2 & up.
*This is a drop in program, no pre-registration is required!

Spring Recess Vacation Club (Monday April 14th - Thursday April 17th)
Explore the wonders of springtime with Weinberg's Naturalist Cindy and Kate.  A different theme every day will include birds, bugs, buds, mud just to name a few! Children will also be able to walk our trails. Visit to register!
Program will run from 10am-2pm for Ages 4-10.  Fee: $55/day per participant or $220/participant for the week.  Fee will include snacks, and cool take-home crafts.

Earth Day @ Weinberg Nature Center (Tuesday April 22nd-Earth Day)
Afterschool Earth day fun! Guest speaker and children's author Andrew "Chowder" Kranichfeld will be visiting the WNC and will do a special reading of his endearing book entitled "Karen's Garden". Following the reading a Q&A with the author himself.  Earth day inspired activities will be done and you'll even be able to take home some really cool crafts.
Visit to register! Program will run from 4pm-6pm for children ages 4 & Up. Fee: $30/person
2014 Spring Eco-Fest @ the Weinberg Nature Center (Sunday May 18th Rain or Shine)

Come out and enjoy the day at our SPRING ECO-FEST. Enjoy Live Animal shows, Nature crafts, Games, Face painting, Scavenger hunt, Live music, Lunch Fare available, and much more!  Program will run from 12pm-4pm.  Fee: $7/person, children under 2 are free. *This is a drop in program, no pre-registration is required!

Representatives From: Bronx River Sound Shore Audubon Society, Animal Nation, Inc., The Wild Dog Foundation, O'Niel's Sandwiches, Snacks & Ice Cream Truck, Long Island Turtle Rescue.

June Bugz (Monday - Friday; June 9th - June 13th & June 16th - June 20th)
Activities will include crafts, stories, mini hikes, eco dramas and other nature inspired activities. Visit to register! More details to come!!! Program will run from 10:30am-12:30pm for children ages 3.5-6yrs old.  Fee: $40/day or $195 for the week.  CHILDREN MUST BE POTTY TRAINED

Westchester Colonial Greenway
(courtesy Westchester County) The Colonial Greenway is a 14.5 mile unpaved trail loop system, linking numerous open spaces and spanning 5 municipalities in southeastern Westchester County. It utilizes the Hutchinson River Pathway and the Leatherstocking Trail, as well as existing trail systems within county and local parks and nature preserves. County Planning and Parks Department staff are currently working with  the local municipalities to make improvements and close small gaps in what will be a premier regional trail facility. click here for a Colonial Greenway PDF map
